No. Octopods needs a HubSpot Professional or Enterprise GTM seat to receive and reply to messages in the HubSpot inbox, as shown on our HubSpot Marketplace listing. Yes, for most channels. When a message comes in, Octopods checks for a matching contact using the sender's phone number or username. If a match is found, the conversation is attached to that contact. If not, a new contact is created. Two exceptions: for Telegram, contacts are created only when you turn on contact creation for the channel, and Slack messages never create contacts.
