    Your next three steps
    1. Connect your Twilio account

Install Octopods for HubSpot, enter your live Twilio Account SID and Auth Token, and choose an SMS-capable number. Review existing number webhooks and Messaging Service settings before connecting.

    2. Choose the receiving inbox

Authorize HubSpot’s custom-channel permissions, select the destination and activate the channel.

    3. Test both directions

Send a message from a real phone and reply from HubSpot. Check contact matching and your intended support workflow.

    Before you connect

Start with a number that accepts replies.

    A number that accepts replies

Use an SMS-capable Twilio number for two-way conversations. Alphanumeric sender IDs are outbound-only and cannot receive a customer’s response.

    HubSpot custom-channel access

Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise is required for custom channels. Help Desk and workflow features have their own HubSpot requirements.

    Provider readiness

Confirm destination coverage and sender registration with Twilio. Country rules, carrier fees, message segments and number charges affect the total cost.
