    01

    Use Breeze across your channels

Start with the channel your customers use most, then extend your Customer Agent setup to your other connected channels.

    02

    Build on your HubSpot answers

Keep Customer Agent content and configuration in HubSpot. Octopods delivers supported outgoing messages through the connected channel; it does not train a separate AI agent or choose the answer.

    03

    Keep people in the conversation

Plan the human handoff as part of setup. Choose the right support destination and test a question that needs a teammate, so customers have a clear path to help.

    Start with one real conversation

A good answer needs a complete delivery path.

An AI response is useful only when it reaches the customer and your team can take over. Pilot one channel with a few representative questions before expanding.

    01

    WhatsApp

Test a question and reply on the connected WhatsApp Business Platform number. Free-form replies remain subject to WhatsApp’s customer service window. Octopods does not automatically turn a rejected AI reply into an approved template.

    02

    Telegram

For a Telegram bot connection, have the customer start the conversation first. Check that the answer reaches the same chat and that a teammate can continue it.

    03

    Twilio SMS

Use a Twilio number that accepts replies. Test both short and longer text answers on a real phone; SMS length, encoding and provider charges still matter.

    Your next three steps
    1. Connect your channel

Install Octopods, connect the messaging account and choose its HubSpot destination. Send and reply to a message before adding AI.

    2. Enable and deploy Breeze

Enable Customer Agent custom-channel access in your HubSpot portal, including the beta opt-in where required. Select your connected channel in Breeze deployment settings.

    3. Test answers and handoff

Try a supported question, an unknown answer and a request for a person. Confirm the full customer experience before going live.

    Before you connect

Check your portal before you deploy.

    An eligible HubSpot portal

HubSpot custom channels require Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise. Customer Agent has additional permissions, seat and HubSpot Credits requirements; confirm the current requirements for your portal.

    Custom-channel agent access

HubSpot documents beta access for Customer Agent deployment to custom channels. Enable the required portal access and deploy Breeze to your connected channels.

    A channel ready for customers

The underlying account, number or bot must meet its provider’s requirements. Messaging windows, regional restrictions and sender rules continue to apply.

Yes. Every messaging channel Octopods supports in HubSpot is supported through Breeze Customer Agent. Your HubSpot portal still needs the required Customer Agent access, and you must deploy the agent to each channel you want it to handle.

Yes. Connect your WhatsApp Business Platform number, Telegram bot or Twilio SMS number through Octopods. Configure Breeze in HubSpot, then test your answers and human handoff before directing customer traffic to it.

No. Breeze Customer Agent is HubSpot’s agent. Octopods connects messaging channels to HubSpot; your support content, agent behavior and deployment are configured in HubSpot.

Configure human handoff in HubSpot. Octopods also supports outgoing teammate replies through the connected channel. Confirm assignment, team availability and delivery with a real test conversation.

No. For a Telegram bot, the user must start the chat. Free-form WhatsApp replies remain subject to the customer service window. If WhatsApp rejects a reply outside that window, Octopods reports the failure; it does not automatically substitute a template.

No. The receiving channel determines which message and attachment formats can be delivered. Start with text answers and test any files or interactive elements your agent uses; do not assume HubSpot rich content appears unchanged.

Budget for your HubSpot subscription and Customer Agent credits, your Octopods plan, and any channel provider charges. Our pricing page covers Octopods; your setup should also account for Twilio or WhatsApp messaging usage.
