Questions about Octopods?Schedule a call

Your channels can change. Your HubSpot inbox can stay.

Evaluating respond.io, Trengo or SleekFlow? Octopods connects messaging channels to the HubSpot workspace your team already uses for sales and support.

    • Agents reply in HubSpot
    • Inbox and Help Desk
    • Your connected messaging channels
    The practical answer

Choose where the work should happen.

Octopods adds messaging channels to HubSpot Inbox or Help Desk. respond.io, Trengo and SleekFlow provide their own messaging workspaces with HubSpot integrations. If your team already handles customer conversations in HubSpot, Octopods lets it keep that daily workflow. If you want a separate messaging platform, evaluate the others on that basis.

    01

Answer where the customer context is

Handle connected WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS and social messages through HubSpot. Contact matching uses the identifiers available on each channel and your connection settings; it does not automatically merge every channel identity.

    02

    Use the inbox you've chosen

Connect channels to HubSpot Inbox or Help Desk, subject to your subscription. Build your team's assignment and follow-up process around that destination.

    03

    Keep daily replies in HubSpot

Connect and configure accounts in Octopods, then handle incoming conversations in HubSpot. Optional tools such as the Octopods Reach browser extension support tasks like starting SMS or WhatsApp conversations.

respond.io, Trengo and SleekFlow differ in their features, plans and integrations. This comparison describes their workspace approach, not feature parity.

    A fair comparison

All three alternatives connect with HubSpot.

The useful distinction is the agent workspace. A HubSpot integration can bring CRM information into another inbox without making HubSpot the place where replies are written.

    01

    respond.io

Its HubSpot integration lets teams view and update selected HubSpot contact properties in respond.io. Consider it when you want respond.io to be your messaging workspace.

    02

    Trengo

Its HubSpot integration exposes contact and opportunity information in the Trengo Inbox sidebar. Consider it when Trengo is where your team should handle conversations.

    03

    SleekFlow

Its HubSpot integration supports contact sync, properties inside SleekFlow Inbox and automation. Consider it when you want SleekFlow's messaging workspace and workflow tools.

    Your next three steps
    1. Choose one customer journey

Pick a channel your team uses today. Write down who receives a new enquiry, who answers and what information they need.

    2. Connect a pilot channel

Install Octopods and route the channel to the relevant HubSpot inbox. Test with an existing contact and a new customer.

    3. Plan the changeover

Confirm number or account migration requirements before disconnecting an existing tool. Keep access to historical records until your team has a retention plan.

    Before you connect

Build around the inbox your team will use.

    A HubSpot-based team

Custom channels require Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise. Using Help Desk requires Service Hub Professional or Enterprise.

    Channel ownership

You need administrative access to the accounts or numbers you connect. Provider migration and channel eligibility can affect the changeover.

    A real fit test

Compare your essential channels, outbound needs and reporting process. A shared channel name does not guarantee identical behaviour across platforms.

Administrators connect and configure channels in the Octopods dashboard. Agents handle connected conversations in HubSpot Inbox or Help Desk. Octopods Reach is an optional browser extension for supported proactive messaging and other tasks alongside the inbox.

Yes. Each offers a HubSpot integration. Review the individual documentation for supported properties, records, automation and sync behaviour.

Yes, through the relevant Octopods connections. WhatsApp requires a supported business connection, Telegram uses a bot, and SMS uses Twilio.

No. Matching depends on channel identifiers, existing HubSpot records and your connection settings. SMS and WhatsApp can use phone numbers; other channels may use channel-specific identifiers. Slack conversations do not automatically create HubSpot contacts through this flow.

Do not assume a connection imports a previous provider's history. Plan how to retain those records and confirm any migration requirements before switching.

When you want that platform to own the agent experience or its specific messaging tools meet an essential need. Compare those needs against the value of keeping your team in HubSpot.
